Fountains at The Breakers

Today I figured I would post some photos of the fountains of The Breakers.  They were everywhere and they were gorgeous!

The Breakers in West Palm Beach Florida was beautiful - at every turn - my favorite part was the weather!  The Palm Trees I mentioned in previous posts was my other favorite - but - the fountains were pretty amazing, too!

This first one was near one of the 9 pool areas at The Breakers.  You can see the ocean on the other side of it, too!

This next photo was of a fountain that was in the outside courtyard of The Spa at The Breakers.  I was able to go to the spa thanks to 2 gift cards I received.  I opted for a 50 minute massage and it was wonderful.  They did a combination of aromatherapy, hot stones, and deep tissue.  She even worked on my Sciatica, too.

The aromatherapy scents that were used for me were peppermint, eucalyptus, and lavender.

It was the first time I had experienced the hot stones and I have to say I absolutely LOVED them.

In the courtyard of the spa there were chairs, tables, lounge chairs, etc all in an enclosed area.

This next photo of a fountain at The Breakers was taken in the one side lawn area.  There is a parking area behind it and on both sides but at The Breakers there is ONLY Valet Parking.  There are also lovely walkways, paths, gardens, and things to look at - at each and every turn.

I blogged a bit more about this fountain and the lawn area over at my main blog HERE at MyBlissfulJourney.com

Also at that above direct link you can read more about all of the Palm Trees surrounding The Breakers and my LOVE of Palm Trees!

The layout of The Breakers was terrific because there were a lot of hidden areas that were out of sight including the playground which was nice.

In the middle of The Breakers there was a courtyard, too, it was surrounded by several entrances/exits, shops, and other walkways.

This is a picture of that courtyard and the fountain and seating area there.  At night there were twinkling lights on the trees and plants and it was glowing with clam-ness.

There was marble everywhere, too!

Behind this fountain area you can see a little archway that went out to the lawn area.  This lawn area was the area I spoke about with the photo above.

The area lizards and salamanders enjoyed this spot, too!

With this last photo in today's post - you will see one of the fountains and statues in the beautiful outdoor enclosure that was located right past the historic lobby at The Breakers.

This area had lots of seating - benches, comfy chairs, etc.  It had stone statues, fountains, and railings, too!

And of course plenty of plants and palms.

This is one of the many areas that The Breakers holds meetings, parties, balls, receptions, and fundraisers - among other things!  While we were there they had at least 3 gatherings in this area that I know of.  I would sure love to have a gathering there if I were able to - it's a lovely spot!

It's The Little Things

More from our wonderful trip to West Palm Beach Florida this past month!

We stayed on the 6th Floor of The Breakers which was part of The Flagler Club.

This first picture was part of our room.  In the bathroom there was a TV built into the mirror and a Bose Sound System in the ceiling.  Sure the entire place was amazing but it was the little things that made it special, too!  The eye-candy everywhere you looked...the decor!

This was the view from our hotel room window.  It's the ocean and it was marvelous!  Both mornings and evenings were completely breath taking.  I really HOPE locals who are used to seeing these sights don't take the beauty for granted!

The weather was PERFECT!  At least 85 degrees daily.  It rained only once but over night while we were sleeping!  How awesome is that!?

I already want to go back...even if only for the gorgeous weather.

When we first checked in...we were greeted in our room with this wonderful flower.  I don't know the name of it but it was fresh and vibrant the full 5 days we were there.  There were also fresh flowers and floral arrangements throughout the Flagler Club Level and The Breakers Hotel.

For more photos and stories from our trip be sure to swing by my main blog MyBlissfulJourney.com.

Another bit of eye candy throughout The Breakers where the chandeliers, lights, lamps, shades, and other lighting and decor.

There must be HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of them throughout the grounds.  And speaking of hundreds and thousands of something around The Breakers...PALM TREES!!!!  More on those in THIS POST on my other site.

Tapestries were a big thing there, too, and all authentic!

One day we went out to the center court of The Breakers.  Dale and I were the only two out there and there were statues and greenery at every turn.  There were also beautiful leftover decorations from a celebration from the night before...such as these cute little table pieces.

They de-cored green apples and put colorful flowers in the middle.  Aren't they pretty!?

The Breakers - Day & Night

Tonight I have a few photos from Florida to share with you!  A few during the day and a few at night.

Where in Florida?  West Palm Beach, Florida!

Where in West Palm Beach?  The Breakers!

This photo was taken on the back side of the resort from the walkway just before the wall meets the beach.  Looking up you can see one of the palm trees still had the coconuts hanging.

You can also also see some of the rooms behind the palm tree.

This photo is taken in the late morning with a breeze to assist.

Here's a shot of the ocean right around the same time of day.

Later that night the wind was stronger - as were the waves.  We were able to see some heat lightening off in the distance as well as the night lights from Palm Beach up the shore.

As for this photo of the beach during the day you can see some of the breakers to the right.  We were told that the beach was consumed last year and they brought in sand and remade their beach area.  The same guy told us that the waves were crashing right up against the wall before they rebuilt the beach.

It was a gorgeous day!

At night it was a little hard to take clear photos from my iPhone.  Many of them came out grainy.

This was taken at night from the walkway wall looking toward part of The Breakers where some of the brick sidewalks were.  To the left of the photo is where the different pools were located.

I hope to post photos of the pool areas and more of the gardens and greenery soon!

I also hope to get some photos of wild life at some point.  We've seen a few birds but I hope we see more.  And there are several lizards and salamanders at every turn.  I was able to get a few photos of a squirrel but he was starring us down pretty good!

We were lucky enough to stay on the 6th floor of The Breakers.  While on the 6th floor we stayed within The Flagler Club.  I will get more into the Flagler Club in the near future but for now I will show you a few photos of the Flagler Club at night from the terrace.

When looking up from the terrace on the 6th Floor of the Flagler Club you can see the 7th floor which is the top floor for rooms and suites and above that is this lovely sight.

I asked one of the team members what it was used for and this section is no longer open to visitors and mostly just for decoration.  I have a feeling a lot of the nooks and crannies around The Breakers are closed for various reasons.  The property is so huge and well over 100 years old but everything is in amazing shape because they put so much back into the upkeep each and every year!

This next photo is also from the terrace of the 6th floor also known as The Flagler Club of The Breakers.

Each section of the structure is magnificent.  And the decor inside The Breakers is equally stunning.  More on that in future posts, too!

The Breakers is a special place during the day - as well as - at night.

There is something to look at - at each and every turn.

I hope to capture more of these sights and post them to this blog as well as my main blog and Instagram over the next several weeks.  Yes...it will take me that long to catch up with all of the blogging and posting of pictures...that is for sure!
